Is there at least one happy Fuji P&S camera shooter?

I think you are being too kind here Flectogon.. I have the H2 and I know I could do at least that well as what was shown here... I am surprised your H5 is not equally capable.

The only thing some of the newer fujis might do better than your H-5 would be some low light / higher Iso stuff... But I think even the new sonys have improved in that area over our old H2/H5's
