I recently took mine on the boat trip to the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland--one of the most challenging situations I can imagine, since the boat is bobbing in the water, the lighting is often dim, and I was shooting into the water to capture the puffins, murres and razorbills that were swimming and diving in the water (and sometimes taking flight). I spot-metered most of the shots, used AI SERVO, and often had to crank up the ISO to 1600 to get my shutter speed to 2000+. Generally I was pleased with the results, though the ratio of shots to keepers was about 50-1. Here are a few examples, in this order--puffin, razorbill, murre:
