im suffering with focus i think, but i have tried everything. well everything to my know how! im a beginner but i have tried and tried.

when i was there i can understand why people had 400mm primes with dslr's, i thought i would get half decent results with a GX1 and 200mm but im either suffering from focus or reach. what i did notice was that when i had the camera focused on an area waiting for bikes then the camera kept refocusing all the time for no reason!!

Some suggestions... just like all the others.

If you get your shutter speed to at least 500, or higher, that will help.

Try bumping your ISO to 400, I see it's at 160. Or kick it to 800 and shoot RAW, any noise will be easier to clean up.

Use manual focus. FInd a spot on the track where the bikes will pass and pre-focus there. When they pass, fire away.

Get a monopod!
