Looks like Olympus is doubling down on this one. I just received this message:

Thank you very much for your e-mail and for your loyalty to Olympus OM-D EM-5.

It is with our regret if you are dissatisfied with the quality of your camera with non-electric lenses.

However, OM-D with five axis stabilization is designed to function properly mounting Micro Four Thirds lenses.

In addition to this, we are sorry to inform you that according to our Research and Development department, they don't have any plan to add that function by firmware in the future.

We are constantly making efforts to improve our products and always be grateful for customers' opinion.

We hope that you will enjoy your OM-D continuously for a long time to come.

Hopefully Olympus will change their mind, and hopefully there's no actual technical reason for this limitation.

Oh well... I'm over it. I want IBIS NOW and don't want to wait forever! Lol

Looks like I am gonna get that 45mm/1.8 to match and be a taking-lens to my anamorphic lens
