Question about copyright, models and the law...

This is not a question of copyright, but a question of model and property release.

Basically, if you are benefiting from an image (self promotion, selling it thru stock or microstock, using it in an ad campaign), you need a release, and it needs to be documented (unless it is used in an editorial fashion or fine art).

If you don't get one, will it be an issue? Maybe not. But when it does become an issue, you could regret not having it big time.

But, I am posting on the Sony SLR forum, so it just might be that I don't know what I'm talking about.

I strongly recommend spending some time on the Google Machine or ASMP.org and learning about usage rights.
