One more thought no one has mentioned is the size of your room and all the light spill that can happen in this space. I bet if you set this up in a larger space with neutral colored walls, the results would be quite different. I see a low ceiling that is probably "helping" fill some shadows. I also see very warm colored walls that are probably throwing some color back into the shot. Warm is good in most people shots but just remember it's there if shooting anything else. I have a very similar shaped room I used to shoot in but found it impossible to control light in. Knock out the ceiling and paint the walls 18% gray !
