Sooooo. Will the D400 or D7100 come first?

You know something will happen with DX in September/October . . . but what! With four excellent FX cameras soon to be available (D800, D800e, D4, and the upcoming D600) it is DX that will be getting upgraded. My guess is that we will see BOTH the D400 (for the serious pros), and the D7100 (for the thrifty and folks who like smaller cameras - like me). My guess is that both will be 24 mp, 100% view finder, with the D400 having 6-8 fps. I think the surprise might be that these cameras use both phase detection and contrast detection focusing. Heck, the D7100 might even have an articulating LCD and quite probably a AMOLED display! I also feel that a huge buffer will be on both!!!! Why not.

Meanwhile, keep shooting!!!!!!!!!!
