how do you open D-Lux 5 RWL files

My DLUX5 came only with Photoshop Elements. I downloaded DLUX 5 Firmware Update Version 2 hoping it should fix the problem. But it doesn't open neither on Win 7 or on Mac. It opens but it starts playing a blank Quick time movie for a minute and nothing happens. It was such a weird stuff.

I don't know where I could download Adobe Lightroom, and I don't remember any of my two computers asking for a camera registration after plugging in. I don't want to get any Software that costs money. I think Leica should have provided the software that is compatible with its camera. It is very odd that the provided install disk can not open the files from the very camera that it was made for.
