There is no way it is going to have better (or worse) IQ than the OM-D and 25mm f1.4.

Unless the IQ is exactly the same, the X2 either has to have better or worse. I'd never bet against a Leica lens.

It's going to be exactly the same.

It is smaller because it has a fixed, f2.8 lens. If neither of those bother you, it will be fine.

Why should a fixed lens bother him?

It would bother me because I don't want to shoot at any one focal length all the time (I use, in efl, 14, 24, 50 and 90 roughly equally). That's why I have an interchangeable lens camera. If you don't mind shooting at one length it all gets much easier.

And an f2.8 lens on APS-C will have similar DOF to an f1.4 lens in m43, no?

No. A full frame f2.8 will have similar noise and DoF compared to a 1.4MF, if the sensor tech is the same. But an APS-C 2.8 is more like an MFT f2.2: slow.

So, noisier photos with less DoF control and you can't change the lens.
