Death of 17" MBPro?

The 17" was niche. Very small sales is the apparent reason for it's demise. My opinion is the portability factor was less than a 13" or 15" and if a large screen was needed, the smaller MBP owners would plug into an external display easy enough. It had value some years ago. But when you can get a great monitor for a few hundred, compared to a thousand bucks a few years ago, the larger screen on the "notebook" lost it's value.
