Sorry I cannot give you first hand experience. I recently decided to replace my Claria inks with dye inks from Inkjetcarts because I do not think I print enough to avoid having clogging problems with pigment ink. Maybe I am just being too cautious. I have heard of others printing with pigment inks in the Artisan 50 and the Stylus 1400. Zone 8 has been using Inkjetfly pigment inks in his 1400 with success.

There is another company, Precision Colors, that sell pigment inks for the Artisan 50 that they call Klariah ink. It comes in preloaded and automatically resetting cartridges that are refillable. They say that their inks are manufactured by Ink Specialists. They are located in Canada and have an eBay store at http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cartridges-KLARIAH-Pigment-Inkset-Claria-Printers-/200533786421 They also have a web site, but it does not seem to be properly set up yet. For example, when you click on Epson printers, you get ink for Canon printers.
