thanks for looking and the nice words.

Actually I think one of the secrets for shooting birds successfully is some special dedication in terms of investing time to get shots - lots of them. And then making use in large scale of the trash bin. I'm not necessarily speaking about machine-gun-style shooting until filling the storage media. But OTOH shooting digital one shouldn't be economic on the relase button because getting the right pose, with a nice catchlight in the eye, everything nicely sharp, nice isolation (DOF) great light and perfect exposure is not achieved with a 100% success rate, the most experienced the photographer could be. I'd say if there are half a dozen of "satisfying" shots out of a whole day's outing it's already a high hit rate.
