Therefore here's my list:

  • Telephoto Macro - as RS1L3NT with the extra DOF, macros become an advantage for the Q.

  • Big telephoto zoom - that's coming this year apparently

  • Faster 01 prime remake - (me) - F1.4 at least, if not F1.2/F1.0

  • Ultra wide lens (what would that be, an 20mm? 22mm?)

A 3-7mm f/4 zoom (17-40 f/22 eq.) or a 3,6mm f/2.8 prime (20mm f/15 eq.). Personally I would prefer the prime. It can surely use a pan focus design (fixed focus set to the hyperfocal distance).

I like this idea. Keeps the lens small, lens is easier to build, cheaper and it's just plug in and start shooting.

  • I say long relatively fast "portrait" lens - maybe a 150mm effective focal length prime with F2.8? 100mm-125mm would do.

Already covered by the tele-macro.

Good point!
