Help! Gx-1 battery stuck
|
Just as I am getting ready for a trip, I slip a battery into my GX-1 and it got stuck. As I slipped it in, I did noticed just a slight bit of resistance, but not enough for me to stop. I am certain that I have inserted the battery the correct way. Oddly, the camera does power on, but no consistently. Applying slight pressure on the battery (pushing in) does make the power work.
Unfortunately, it is a cheap aftermarket battery in the unit. I honestly don't think the battery is at fault here, but regardless, I am concerned that Panasonic will not honor their warranty if I send it in. While I can accept this (my bad for not using over-priced genuine batteries), I am hoping someone has a tip so that I can try to remove the battery myself.
The camera itself was bought new from Amazon only a few months ago.
Any advice is appreciated--thanks.
Neil
PS. I miss my GF-1!
