Question about selling a lens still under warranty...

Technically the warranty of the lens is non-transferable. However, since the serial number of the lens has not been registered, Canon has no way of knowing who the original owner is. If you are able to give the new owner a copy of the sales receipt then they will more than likely be supported under the warranty. I have done this in the past. Once the lens is registered under someone’s name then the warranty cannot be transferred in the Canon system.
