RX100..vs S100 vs G1X...ownership..

I imagine for most purposes for which one will use a compact camera, it's a true statement. RX100 will have some advantages in some situations. It also costs a lot more. Personally, it's not worth it to me.

Then again, I sold my s95 and got an SX260 and D20. I found I don't really need the degree of control or the brighter aperture for the things I was using a PnS for. Whlle I liked the S95, it couldn't come close to my dslrs or NEX 5n. I found the SX260 to be more flexible in the types of situations I was using it and easier to hand off to "the lovely wife." Obviously the D20 is more of a specialized camera you can take places you can't take other gear without expensive housings.
