I am not retentive about compositional canons.

In fact, I am a fierce defender that they should be learned, understood and practiced because, as a bonus, that will teach us when to depart from such canons, for better effect...and those "departures", if we understood the basics well enough, will then come in an almost intuitive way.

Even when a composition is not particularly agreeable for me, I try to look at it with an open mind, trying to understand how it may work in an alternative way.

But, no matter how much I try, I can not see the point of leaving the horizon just slightly tilted on this one?
