Thanks for the info - I decided to have a second go at it this morning. put about 8 ml of ink in the syringe, inserted the syringe in the cart and gave it a couple of pulls and taps of the cart and I swear there is not a bit of space now. This is the same cart I started with since haven't installed in printer yet. I am going to start with 35 ml in the syringe for the rest of the carts. It is nice to know that a small gap is workable. Thought I remembered hearing that, but was feeling uncertain when it came down to doing the deed.

Once I see that cart working I will fill the rest and have them ready to replace the OEM carts as they go. After that will fill all carts at once.
