My method of shooting star trails is to use my 10-22mm @ 10mm. Obviously is you are using your 18-200, use 18mm. My settings are f4; 400 ISO; 30 second. Select continuous shooting & shoot 120 - 30 second exposures (remote shutter locked open), and then 'stack them in a free program - StarStax.
