Wich editing software for the films?

Have been looking around some on the forum but havent seen much info on different film editing programs people use for the films from their FZ150 (and other Panasonic AVCHD cameras) ? I´m looking for a regular family guy program, no fancy gimmicks, something to trim and paste clips together, perhaps add some texts and then burn them on a DVD or memory card, in SD and/or HD. The program thar came with the camera seems to be just to trim clips? And there usually are some programs that are better than the ones bundled with the camera, wether it is raw editing or filing and so on. Or I should take another look at the bundled program?
