Is lack of IS a deal breaker for the Xpro1

Yes. Hit the centre of the command dial during playback mode and the camera will go to a 100% zoom at the focus point. I love this feature as it means that you don't then have to scroll all over the image to find the in-focus point to check - you are already right there.
