priming carts
Jun 9, 2012

Did my first cartridge fill today using Cone pro color inks and Cone carts. The first cartridge went well, but do have a question about priming. I followed the directions and video instructions for filling. There is some air space at the top of the cart - it is about 1/16" to less than 1/8" or 1 - 2 mm. The space is the same in the left compartment and the main right section. Seem to recall that this fill level is fine, but can't find a reference.

Is the space at the top of my cart acceptable or typical? Or should I get the ink out and try to top it off. Have not installed the cart yet.

Have started with the VLM cart as that is the one that is low. Will change only the VLM when needed and assuming all goes well, then fill the remaining carts and have them ready to install as needed. Cone says this will work so that is my plan.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Jay
