Epson 3880 inks

The 3880 ships with full cartridges, that's 80 ml per cartridge, not 30. On first use a lot of ink goes into charging the systemy, but you are still left with a lot more than 30 ml/ cartridge. Based on my first 6 months of ownership, I expect the included cartridge set to last me about two years, on average. The second set will go 3 years.

By then I'll probably be shopping for a new printer.

Given the impact on warrantee, potential print quality/longevity issues because of sparse independent testing results, and the whole economics of creating photography, I was never tempted to go with a third-party ink vendor.
