Mark, Surely there's no need for us to have to buy an adapter when we've already shelled out £400+ for the device in the first place. And then when you buy the adapter it only has limited functionality. Behave Apple you really ARE taking the p out of yr customers. Here - buy an adapter so you can do a couple of things but continue to get frustrated at the things Apple won't let you do with it that you should be able to. Oh no it doesn't come with a stand, but here you can buy a stand! Oh and did we forget to put a keyboard in, well here ya go - buy one of these! What next - a device that doesn't come with a screen? But you can buy one. But seriously I don't know why folk let Apple get away with it.

What is the reasoning behind them making it difficult for folk to do ordinary things with the iPad? Forget about the prettiness and the display that's more real than reality and let's be able to use the thing properly rather than just as a big iPhone.

I don't mind having to get an adapter to use a USB port; what's annoying is that it isn't as fully functional as a USB port on every other laptop, netbook, and pc. Downloading only (no uploading back to an external device), and doesn't work with USB devices that work with every other portable computer.
