Sigma SD1M or Nikon D800E

Hello

I love the dynamic range, small size and colours I am getting from my old original DP1 and DP2 and having recently sold my Canon 5DII after the disapointing MK3 release have started looking for a SLR replacement.

I am not sure if it is just me but the colour rendering and dynamic range from the SD1M just does not seem to compare to what I am used to and love with the older DP1 and DP2 - see pic below. Nor do the prime lenses available seem as good as they could be.

At the moment I am flirting with the idea of a Nikon D800E with a Zeiss Wide-angle prime and macro lens.

Has anyone on here have fist hand experience with using the SD1M vs the D800E please to help me with my dilemma?
