I don't think my " Hand held candid shot "suffers from anything. This was shot in a Hotel room while my grandson was watching cartoons. Not a set up..I saw his expression and grabbed the camera and took the shot.. I composed and shot in less than 10 seconds.

If there is any suffering, its the amount of noise found in your shot. I'm not trying to be disrespectful.. but your shot is very soft, lacks detail and has more than acceptable noise for a studio shot...( the full frame shot ).... If you are trying to show the best you can do with your A77... Its not very impressive... Again I mean no disrespect.. we are talking about acceptable shots... I think your A77 example is not representative of what you can do with this camera. Full Frame or crop

If I have offended you in the defense of the A77, I apologize.. I'm completely happy with my A77.. and its a lot of fun to use.
