Here is a link showing the Trek Monopod/Tripod. Three "feet" can be pulled out at the base that provide stability for a camera. It is lightweight and convenient.

But, be careful on a windy day that it doesn't blow over with the camera attached. Also, I never take my hands off my DSLR (Canon T3i) when it is on the Trek Pod, especially if it is on uneven ground.
