5D Mark III Photograph vs Video Quality

I am new to using my 5D Mark III for video so my question is, how much reduction in quality can one expect from video vs photo? I am trying to gauge what is considered to be "normal". Below are two photos take at the same time with the same settings, the first is the photograph and the second is a frame from a video. As you can see, the quality of the video frame is considerably less than the quality of the photograph. Of course, I expect the video to be less but how less should it be and how much less is acceptable? Thanks

Canon EOS 5D Mark III
