Transit of Venus

I had planned to use my 9.25" Celestron telescope (2375mm focal length) with a Baader solar filter and Alpha 900, but between high likelihood of clouds and the unbearable heat in SE Texas, I'm just going to use an Alpha 700, 300mm Sigma lens with Kenko 1.4x TC on a tripod. I have a Baader filter that I made for a small telescope that I no longer have and it barely fits the 300mm lens if I don't extend the lens shade and use some tape to secure the filter.
