Using the RX100 height or width as reference, the depth is indeed 36mm including the lens protrusion (flush to the serrated grip).

The LX5 dimensions are 110 x 66 x 43 mm
which I believe includes the lens cap.

Btw, the lens cap of the LX5 is too thick, Panasonic should be able to design a flush cap that would save almost 3mm in thickness.
