12-24mm f/4 DX vs 20 f2.8 afd on full frame comparison anyone?

A silly question, but at aperture f8 on fullframe, do you think 12-24mm DX at 20mm is comparable to 20mm AFD? I've heard mixed reviews on 20mm AFD and trying to see if it's worth the price. Thanks. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
