NX200 - Correcting overblown reds and oranges
Jun 5, 2012

Reds and orange in plain sunlight, thats where many cameras, not only Samsung NX200 struggle. You can observe this trying to shoot poppy (Mohnblumen).

Trying to correct overblown and contourless orange blossoms in Lightroom is done in some brush strokes (Adjustment Brush tool - Korrekturpinsel). I desaturate orange and ... details in orange leaves are not lost ... they will show up! Here one Samsung NX200 example (20-50mm lens - converted raw file).

Whats your experience with reds and oranges on Samsung NX Systems ? Anybody has a more convenient or simpler way to correct this (minor) issue? All in all I must praise this little cam for its color rendition. Best camera I ever had.

Overblown / oversaturated poppy seed pic 1 (minor adjustments in LR)

Desatureated poppy seed pic 2 (minor adjustments in LR + desaturated blossoms with brush)

Brush tool settings example - (apply to your taste)

Samsung NX200
