Why? I don't think so. Assuming this single black ink is made from a stable pigment it is 'just as good'. The look is different, probably more grainy, comparable to tri-x, but that's a style, an approach and the artists choice, not better or worse.

More grainy, more dithering artifacts, less resolution, poorer quality tonality, lower dMax....but aside from all that...
