DPR is scoring the IQ not the sensor like DxO.
D800 and 5Dm3 beats up K-5 anytime for IQ, but not according to DPR scoring (useless then).

Because their scoring system is the reason that you can defend and compare 16MP camera against 36MP or 5DM3's birriliant full frame outputs.. shame.
Not defending the method at all but everyone needs to know how the numbers are derived in order to understand the conclusions.
Infact, one of the things that I like about DxO reporting is that you can view the results at pixel level, (which reflects 100% crops), or for a normalized 8mp image which takes into account the sensor resolution. Neither way is right or wrong as both measurements can be useful when trying to compare sensor performance.
