So then there is not room for reduction of size in FF?

I would not say no room. Take an M9. Chop off the most of the top bit where the RF mechanism lives. Trim some from the width. Add extra diameter to M lenses to accommodate the AF; use the front element diameter vs. lens body diameter ratio similar to the Fuji XF lenses for scale. That's about as small as an mirrorless FF would get unless the sensor angle issues are resolved. A fixed lens version would not be much smaller except the lens could be retracting.

Well one area could be in using software corrected lenses (not that I'm fond of that route - but seems to work OK for M43 )? Yes well, M9 size or relatively is sort of what I have in mind, much smaller than the big Canon and Nikon FF DSLRs (but of course not as small as M43 or Nex)...there are some trade offs with that, with stability/unbalanced ergonomics with current Canon and Nikon lenses if using a handheld with a smaller body (M9 size for example) though.
