Surely a film like output is a bad thing? I disliked film...

I like the 25, but don't much like the length. I use the 45 much more.

It is a marvelously good shot, but I wonder. Why do you have to get to like the 45mm? Is there a drawback with it? I'm just wondering 'cause I ponder on buying one albeit I have a manual 50mm/1,7 which is very good, but alas, manual.

I also had a manual 50/1.7, and I liked its character better than that of the 45, but I sold it as it was too fiddly to focus without an EVF (I'll have an EVF soon, so I might want to try legacy lenses again).

The 45 is wonderful, but it just doesn't have the same lovely rendering as my PanaLeica 25, hence it rarely gets mounted on the GX-1. Yesterday I forced myself to use it and did get some interesting results. What the PL does better is color reproduction, as well as miro contrast I think. Overall the 25 gives a more film like output.
