One of my girlfriend...

So we were bored.. it was pouring rain out, I had my one 580 with me, and not much else (ofcourse the 60D and the 50 1.4 on it). I didn't even have an umbrella or soft box. Luckily I found an old shoe box, some tin foil and tissue paper and made a soft box... so at least I had a workable light source now (I hate unmodified flashes unless I'm filling).

Anyway that preamble is basically the lead up to the attached shot. One light portraiture has never been something I've really been overly into, it's just so unforgiving, but I did like how this image came out. Post work was done in LR > 16bit TIFF > cs5.1 (w/ color efex). The work in post was actually fairly minor and this isn't too far off as shot (although obviously there has been some post work).
