I don't know if you read the blog, but its a pretty simple concept. It the same one I use for astro photography. Resolution and detail are everything in an image. trying to Post Process an image that has decreased detail will never yield anything like what a higher or sharper resolved image will do.

On the blog even after processing the soft images they still are not as well detailed as the Hard images. Soft images are just that, soft. I see many people here commenting or complaining about images that are "too soft", and lacking in detail. Part of the problem is most likely due to their settings in camera.

I suggest folks read the article then compare the images given in the link at the top of the article and then after reviewing said images comment at that point.
