As long as it's not windy and you're on fairly solid ground you shouldn't have any problems.
I bought one to use with my Nex5N, the kit 18-55, and the Sigma 30mm for a trip to Europe this summer and it has done well indoors the couple of times I've used it. I wanted to travel light and I figure between it and a little Joby I'll be covered.
