Hi,

I am a jazz lover, not yet a photo lover, and since I often go to live concerts, I would like to buy a camera to take shots of the concerts I listen; I like very much the idea of having a collection of jazz musician pictures, and this could be my opportunity to get closer to photography. I plan for that to start taking a photography course.

What I am looking for is a compact camera (I would like to put it in my pocket or similar) with GOOD IMAGE QUALITY ESPECIALLY IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS, operating without flash, possibly not too complicated to use.

I personally prefer b/w pictures, but it is not a must that the camera is somehow "specialized" for that. It could also be useful a noiselessness shoot.

It should not necessarily be a budget camera, but don't need a pro stuff.

I have seen some positive feedback about the Fuji X100, but also negative ones, but probably there are other alternatives out there. Could you suggest something?

Thanks a lot for your suggestions, I will appreciate that
Michele

It's almost all opinion folks, gonna have to deal with it.

Equipment: 1 Finger, an eye, a camera body and 50mm (equivalent) lens, half a brain, and a lot of money leftover to spend on using that equipment
