Do you clean your own sensor?
Jun 1, 2012

My style of photography involves a lot of dust, heat, mud and hiking boots. My sensor looks like it survived a sand-storm, despite bulb-blowing and sensor-shaking.

Do you clean your own sensor?

I use the rocket blaster and the sensor cleaning thing, but its just not getting it done.

I don't have a Nikon service center near me, and I am a kind of do-it-yourself guy, so I think I want to (carefully) learn this skill. I think I should clean much more often.

Or can you just take it to any authorized retailer and have it done there?

Ridicule is not C&C nor is it being helpful nor "stating your opinion"
