D40 is awesome!

I've long said that the D40 has been one of Nikon's best cameras ever made. I got one way back in 2007, and only upgraded eventually to the D90 last week (because I wanted more advanced features, not because it broke or anything). In fact, I prefer it to all the replacement models.

The D40 had an amazing battery I agree. And I still retain that ergonomically, it is better than every replacement model e.g. D3000,D5000, D3100,D3200 and D5100 having tried them all.

Still takes fab shots too.
