buying the D800 online - should I be concerned

Very happy with my D4 but still waiting for my D800, I was considering buying one from ebay or Amazon...Should I be concerned using these two channel? Dont want to buy an early camera with the AF bug for example...thoughts / suggestion welcome. I live in Canada.
