Hey Steve, all good points. I actually found Fuji's implementation of AF extremely precise – it's just not fast. But once lock is achieved, it is generally spot on. No complaints at all there.
And good point about adjusting features as you approach a subject. Definitely reminds me of my manual focus and film days!
