I wouldn't put a filter on the 20mm for protection.

First of all, the ability of a filter to really protect a lens from damage is questionable in most cases. There are always vivid discussion on online forums when this topic comes up. I only use a protective filter during harsh weather conditions.

Another point is that a protective filter will definitely not improve the IQ but it might decrease the IQ.

On top of that, the Panna 20mm seems to be a very resilien lens. Maybe I am just lucky but I dropped the lens 3x (2x on concrete and 1x on a rock) while being attached to the camera and it always hit lens-first on the ground without getting any damage.
