Thanks for the reply!

Sure thing.

Yeah I kinda wondered if that might happen - am contemplating keeping the 550D if I do pick up any weddings/events down the line, but will sell it if I can I guess. Difficult decision as I don't know where this is going to take me at this stage.

It will. I used to have a 7D and a 5D2. I sold both to get the 5D3, and I would do it again. I figure if I do get any serious events or weddings (which is business that I don't normally pursue), I can rent a 2nd body.

Canon EOS 550D (gripped) | Canon 100mm f2.8L IS | Canon EF-S 10-22/3.5-4.5 USM | Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM | Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II | Canon EF-S 55-250 f4-5.6 IS | Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS | Nissin Di622 Mark II | Raynox DCR-250

Yeah, see you could sell almost all of that and get a 5D3, 16-35, and 70-200/4. I'd just keep the 100L. I'm not sure what the Nissin and Raynox bits are. If you keep your 550D another generation longer you may as well gift it to a child.
