I think you should stop taking pictures of plain walls and worrying about noise and pixels at extreme iso and start taking pictures of a range of real subjects in different lighting, then decide.
I always going out at night and taking pics of my friends since they keep moving so i have to push the shutter speed high and also high ISO in compensate for that. Thats why i feel very uncomfortable if the whole pics turn red. I didn't experience it in my old Nex 5 or mah friend nex-5n at all in whatever ISO which i set.
