Hi guys, just an update from me ... I met an Olympus tech guy over the weekend, and we tested the issue on the spot, and he definitely thinks it's not normal, and asked me to send it in for repairs. So, my E-M5 is now sitting in Olympus office undergoing repairs, he said he will change the IS unit, and hopefully, I should be able to pick up my cam later today. We shall see if that resolves the issue.

In the mean time, I would like to point out another factor that may be related to this issue, but I can't test it out cause I don't have the cam with me.

I have the "Half Way Rls With IS" (see page 87 of manual) turned ON, because I do shoot with legacy lenses. This setting is OFF by default. With this setting on, the IS starts working as soon as you half press the shutter button.
