Bokeh of 100mm f2.8 on m43
May 28, 2012

Soon we get the 35-100 f2.8 zoom from Panasonic, therefore I thought I post a picture that I took with my Canon FD 100m f2.8 to demostrate how bokeh (and DOF) can be the with such parameters on m43 (in a certain subject distance of course). (First photo is slightly cropped (to square), second is a little out-of-focus)

By the way the Canon FD 100mm performed quite good at f2.8 in most circumstances. It was a beautifully shaped lens, it seemed heavy but very massive as well. It cost around 100$ here.

(note: as I saw the pictures coming from the Oly 75 1.8 I'm not sure I want that lens. If the 35-100 is comparable in size then I think it is much more useful and IMHO offers very-very similar DOF. Anyway, it would be nice to have an Oly version of 35-100 f2.8 (or something similar) without the OIS and therefore with smaller size)
