In reply to HumphriesBunch, May 28, 2012

I have half of the combo; the Sigma 17-50. My other lens (yup, only 2) is the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 OS (the new model) and I use the new Sigma 1.4 tele with it.

I'm really happy with the 17-50 and on my Nikon D7k it focuses fast and accurate. It's a sharp lens with good contrast. But I am one of those shooters who loves the longer reach.

The 70-200 is a bit big and heavy, but lately it has been welded to the Nikon. I tried removing it once last week to use the 17-50 but just couldn't do it. I love the 70-200.

I used to own the Pentax K-7 and later the K-5 and used the Sigma 100-300 APO DG f4 with them. I really wish they still made that lens...
